Forced Displacement and Infrastructure Damage
On Sunday evening, Israeli forces reportedly set fire to a displacement camp near the Shujayea intersection. This action forced over 200 families—totaling more than 800 people, including women, children, and the elderly—to flee. The Ministry of Public Works and Housing stated that Israeli quadcopter drones ignited the camp around 8:00 p.m. The resulting blaze destroyed tents and personal belongings for several hours. The Ministry has issued an urgent plea for international assistance to provide shelter and basic supplies to the displaced families.
Since the start of the war, at least 74,555 people have been killed and 175,727 wounded. Medical officials note that since October 11, the death toll has risen by 1,559, with 5,608 additional injuries. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams.
